Children & Parents Reading Together (CPRT) Program
Reading Together Builds Brains, Bonds, and Bright Futures
Children & Parents Reading Together (CPRT) is a free program for preschool children ages 4–5 and their parents or caregivers. Families read together, learn new English vocabulary, and build early literacy skills that help children get ready for kindergarten.

Each 40-minute weekly class includes shared reading, simple activities, and a book to take home so families can continue learning together. Through CPRT families grow closer, children thrive in school, and parents gain confidence in language and learning.

Natasha’s Story
“When we arrived in the US, Natasha spoke very little English. Her daycare teachers were worried and thought that she may need speech therapy. We enrolled Natasha in the Pre-K program and found out about the Children and Parents Reading Together program. The program has been a huge help for Natasha. First, it helped her learn a new language and improve her vocabulary. She is eager to read now and has even become more comfortable socializing with the other kids. Her CPRT instructor, Ms. Margot, has been a big help. She always pushes Natasha and makes a huge effort to make an impact on all of the kids’ lives. Natasha now looks forward to her reading time every week.”
